OKRs, or Objectives and Key Results, serve as a powerful tool for focusing and driving strategic change, whether in the context of DEI or beyond. In particular, they play a pivotal role in advancing DEI efforts, helping organizations define clear objectives and measurable outcomes to foster positive change. Welcome to our DEI OKR training, specially designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge needed to harness the potential of OKRs in your DEI initiatives.

A Hands-On Training to Demystify OKRs


Although OKRs are such an effective way to guide and lead strategic DEI work, at the same time, we have noticed that setting smart and meaningful DEI objectives still poses challenges for many organizations. And of course, it does, because strategic and data-driven is still new for many Finnish and European organizations. Additionally, OKR training is rarely provided in an easily accessible manner. In this training, we will cover, among other things:

  • what are OKR’s and how do they differ from KPIs?

  • how to evaluate and make high quality OKRs?

  • how to identify the strategic choices DEI OKRs can be connected to?

  • examples of typical pitfalls when setting OKRs

  • light exercise on actually setting DEI OKRs

  • at the end of the training there is time for Q&A

Who is this training for? 

This training is for individuals who are actively involved in internal DEI initiatives within their organizations and are keen to establish more meaningful DEI objectives and develop their DEI strategies through the OKR framework.

No prior knowledge of OKRs is necessary to participate in this training. While the training includes specific examples related to DEI OKR setting, it also serves as a valuable refresher for those looking to revisit their general understanding of OKRs.

Timeline and practicalities

We are organising 4 different options for one off DEI OKR trainings. Trainings are conducted with Google Meets and Miro, which both work through your computers browser. You don’t need prior experience from these tools.

  • Thu 19th Oct, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM (in English)

  • Wed 8th Nov, from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM (in Finnish)

  • Fri 10th Nov, from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM (in English)
